CSP Systems and Other Stuff
CSP (Concentrated Solar Power) power generation systems have a significant advantage over PV when it come to EMP, or Electro Magnetic Pulse. Since most of the components of CSP power generation are mechanical, it is very resistant against EMP attacks, unlike PV systems which are mostly based on semiconductor solar panels that are susceptible to EMP damage.
This is yet another advantage of CSP systems, especially for off-grid applications.
Now in regards to the future of the automobile and the fossil fuel industry, it would be advantageous if the U.S. could upgrade the electrical infrastructure so that all energy needs could be supplied via electricity. In regards to solar and possible CSP electrical production at industrial scales, energy storage is necessary. Considerable research has been conducted in this area and many of the most efficient methods to store energy are quite simple:

These energy storage methods are technically feasible, efficient, and in some cases have a small footprint. Often the public is side tracked into waiting for a large breakthrough in other technologies, like fusion energy, for example. I have seen reports throughout my life that practical fusion energy is "just around the corner", this energy source has been "just around the corner" for the last 50 years, it always seems to me that all the technological breakthroughs are just 20 years away. We wait 20 years, people forget and we are told again just another 20 years. After a while it becomes apparent that it is simply a ploy by which to delay the transition to post-fossil fuel energy sources.
Now, if we do upgrade the electrical infrastructure of the U.S. and the world so that all energy needs could be met via electricity, we would have to address the problem of portable fuel sources used in vehicles. Not all vehicles can or should be connected to power lines and it is often not practical or safe for vehicles to carry around large quantities of coal, nuclear fuel, or other energy sources. This implies that some common, easily available, and inexpensive fuel source for vehicles be developed. One such fuel could be hydrogen.
Hydrogen could be easily produced from water via water spitting using electricity, produced in plants located near large bodies of water. People may say that storing hydrogen is problematic and compressed hydrogen yields poor mileage efficiency. This is where the vacuum flask thermos comes to the rescue, hydrogen can be liquefied and then stored in a specially designed vacuum flask tank in a typical vehicle. This technology was used extensively in the Apollo Missions to store liquid hydrogen rocket fuel. Also instead of converting the hydrogen into a gas and then converting it to electricity in a fuel cell, the hydrogen could instead be converted into a gas and then injected directly into the typical engine combustion chamber, just like any other fuel. This may lead to greater mileage and power production. We have our post-fossil fuels car problems solved.
On a completely different note, I have just started to notice that youtube has been removing or taking down videos regarding Crisis actors:

These videos were quite common just a couple of years ago, especially during the Obama Presidency. Now little by little they are being taken down. This appears to me to be a cover up, now that Obama is gone and is never coming back, the crisis actors that were part of manipulated media events no longer have a president or at least a government structure that creates, funds, and protects them, at least directly. So, they need to "fade away" to be forgotten so that they can go back to their normal lives and so that the perception of integrity in the news media can be re-established. As long as there are videos on the Internet that, in some cases, very clearly demonstrate false and manipulated media stories, the perception of integrity, believability, and trust cannot be established. All these "crisis actors" are going back to whatever holes they came from, as long as these videos exist they will always be seen as spies, informants, and role player for a corrupt government and secret society system.
