What the Duck

Some may have seen the following news story on The Economist:

Indicating that the peak solar production times are offset from the peak demand times, there are simple solutions to this dilemma, simply build the solar power infrastructure large enough so that it can provide sufficient power for peak load time and then simply turn off the extra panels during peak production time.

The more rational approach would be to build pumped hydroelectric plants that can store excess energy during the peak production times and can then be used to provide energy during peak load times.

If you read the article it stated:

"On the supply side, one trick is to calculate ever-more-precise forecasts of solar output and electricity demand at every hour of every day, to match them better."

We don't need to calculate "ever-more-precise" solar forecasts because we can control cloud formation through geoengineering. So many in the major media pretend AS-IF geoengineering does not occur. The denial has gotten to the point that, on certain days, the only clouds in the sky are those "created" by aircraft "contrails" or "heavy metal particulate aerosol injection", and yet meteorologists treat it as if it is natural phenomenon.

What is needed is a government infrastructure that isn't bought, sold, and paid for by oil companies, private central bankers, secret societies, corrupt intelligence agencies, and privately wealthy individuals.

Or go in the other direction, stop geoengineering completely and simply build a solar power infrastructure with the attendant energy storage facilities like pumped hydroelectric. The forecast models don't have be overly accurate, since it may be possible to contruct pumped hydroelectric plants that can start quickly, after all it is somewhat easy to simply let water run downhill into turbine. The solar panel infrastructure can be made sufficiently large that several days works of peak power can be stored in pumped hydroelectric. In this manner, we avoid dealing with peak production shortfalls for a day or couple of days. It can act as an energy buffer, allowing for cloud cover to pass.
