Updates for the Week of 1/20/19

Energy Lecture for the Week:

https://upload.cat/88c540674dbe828d

(please excuse the file hosting, I had some problems uploading the video to youtube. There is about 50 seconds of some anime video game advertisement before the video but if you wade through it you can view the video.)

Though it was quoted that we get about 10 W/m^2 of electrical output from a solar panel, most people who install solar panels can get about 100 W/m^2 an order of magnitude more. This implies that total amount of land area needed for solar panels is 1/10 that quoted in the video or about 1/2, taking into account conversion and transmission losses.

Also, due to the naturally occurring high pressure systems in Arizona and New Mexico there is less cloud cover. I wonder why Arizona wasn't mentioned, the region in and around Yuma Arizona receives the most amount of sunlight hours compared to anywhere else in the U.S. Too much "influence" from Mormon Uranium Interests? Or what is the problem, oil companies, SRP, APS, did you eat too much of the "real" baby back ribs in a secret ritual? What's the problem?

Furthermore, cloud cover can now be controlled by using geoengineering. Moisture laden air masses can be dried up by over spraying them with condensation forming particulates. Hence, intermittent solar energy production due to passing clouds isn't as big a problem as we thought.

In regards to passive house design. Vacuum panel insulation could be used in the construction of houses, thereby bringing down the amount of heat loss to or heat entry from the environment. This isn't as difficult as it appears, many modern homes already make extensive use of vacuum panels in the form of double pane windows:

In face, vacuum panels are already used as insulation. They have a much lower thermal conductivity when compared to traditional insulation:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vacuum_insulated_panel#Thermal_performance

We could further lower the thermal conductivity by covering the surfaces of the panel with materials similar to those used in the former space shuttle:

Phil Hendrie Show for the Week: July 7, 2002

https://www.philhendrieshow.com/ph_episode/thursday-july-25-2002-2/

Hour 1: Raj Feneen came on in the second hour to say that he used USA flags to wash his car and dry off his dog. He thinks that immigrants should be allowed to do what they want if they pay for it, because they’re treated harder. (It's BULLCRAP!, American BASTARDS!!)

Hour 2: Doug Dannger criticizes prom kids for riding in limos and thinking they’re big shots. What happened to the days where you’d expect to see Jack Nicholson? Nowadays it’s someone’s brat. If Doug sees this happen, he’ll grabs them and tells them to go get a cab.

(Funny moment: Jeffery Dahmer, my main man)

Hour 3: Vernon Dozier says that Martha Stewart sticks her nose into other people’s business, causing marital dysfunction. Vernon feels that Martha Stewart has helped whip house wives into shape (R Hutchins).

Paranormal Presentation for the Week: Paul Bennewitz and The Dulce Base

Paul Bennewitz, an electrical physicist living in Albuquerque, New Mexico, engaged in some aggressive radio monitoring of the nearby Sandia Labs, then managed by the Department of Defense. When he became convinced that the strange lights hovering over the labs and Kirtland Air Force Base signaled the vanguard of an extraterrestrial alien invasion, he began writing TV stations, newspapers, senators -- and even President Reagan -- to alert them. For the most part Bennewitz received form-letter replies, but Air Force investigators paid him a visit, as did Bill Moore, author of the first book on the Roswell incident. Before long Moore -- then a new force in civilian UFO research -- was tapped by a group of intelligence agents and a deal was struck: Moore was to keep tabs on Bennewitz while the Air Force ran a psychological profile and disinformation campaign on the unsuspecting physicist. In return, Air Force Intelligence would let Moore in on classified UFO material

Here is a background of "that bastard" Bill Moore:

Here is a picture of Moore:

After working as a disinformation agent, could we really ever trust that anything he presents is the completely honest? Or is everything he presents a mixture of lies and truth? This guy's going to need a "Hell suit" to protect him from the fires of the eternally damned when he dies.
